Jasmine’s Heart for global missions

My Story

Jasmine grew up in a Christian household and attended a small church throughout her childhood. During her time at this church, they hosted a mission trip that several members were able to attend. Jasmine was only 12 at the time, but a fire lit within her that day which has never burned out. Even though she was unable to attend this specific trip, that flame remained lit for years to come. Fast forward to 2021, Jasmine began attending Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia. Not long after she started attending, the church announced their yearly mission trips. Immediately, she scanned the QR code, scrolled down, and her heart skipped a beat as she stopped in Guatemala. “That’s it.” She said. Fast forward again a few more years, Jasmine has been to Guatemala countless times and has listened to God’s calling for her life: being a photographer for the mission field.

Jasmine pursued her love for photography from the first moment she got her hands on a camera. From shooting landscapes to macro photos of families, couples, and weddings, she realized God wanted her to use this talent elsewhere. Jasmine’s ministry is primarily in Guatemala; however, her heart is big on traveling the world. While a variety of connections are being formed, Jasmine plans to travel and capture what is happening in different locals throughout the world. Along with photography, Jasmine plans to use her musical talents and ESL teaching experience to the glory of God. Her main mission is to be a voice through a lens in a world that is silent for God.

Hungary mission trip 2025, july 18-27th

Information About the Trip

This year I am blessed with the opportunity to work with Cornerstone’s missionary, Zak Good, where we will be running an English summer camp in Eger, Hungary!

“Students will be attending the camp to practice their English and have a fun summer camp experience. Just like our youth camps at Cornerstone, we will engage in many activities including games, music, sports, small groups and more. The students will practice conversational English throughout the camp instead of learning English through typical ESL methods. As we spend time with the students, there will be opportunities to share about Jesus and make an eternal impact. Many of the students attend from materially poor and inner-city locations with difficult stories.”

Personally, I am excited to utilize my ESL experience and love for the mission field to minister to these kiddos. The Lord has been clear in showing me the growing love I have for His kingdom, especially with global missions, and I am so excited to see what God has in store for this mission trip.

“For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!””
